Evans Coated EC1 Drum Head 18"The Evans Coated EC1 drum head features an Edge Control ring mounted underneath a single ply of 14mil film. The ring is designed to flex with the motion of the headthereby controlling edge vibration, instead of eliminating it. It isolates and dampens the higher overtones inherent in thicker films, thereby balancing the tone and producing a clear pitch without diminishing resonance. With enhanced durability and attack compared to traditional single ply heads, the EC1 is exceptional for more ambient, but high volume applications.
